A Handbag of Harmonies at Christmas
The City of Chester Charter Trustee’s Charity “Songs from the Season” evening
2 December

We were thrilled to be part of this, together with the Rock Choir, Proud Marys, and young people from Theatre in the Quarter. It was a joy to sing in our beautiful Town Hall and help raise money for the wonderful KidsBank Chester and other local charities.

Handbags’ Silver Singalong

25 years - one unforgettable night

Our Silver Singalong was joyful, emotional and, of course, full of song. Thank you to everyone who joined us and to the Picturehouse team for making it so special.

What started as a small group of friends, with a shared love of singing, has blossomed into a choir family with over 80 members, united not only by their passion for music but also by the unbreakable bonds they have formed.
Beyond the joy that singing brings, The Handbags are a testament to the strength and support found within an all-female choir.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. Here's to the past, present and future of A Handbag of Harmonies!
To help us celebrate this special anniversary, we've produced a video.
Thanks to Andy (@ The Video Company) for making such a wonderful video!

Choirgram Day

12 July

For our 25th anniversary we wanted to do something a little magical.
We surprised six incredible people with a Choirgram – each nominated for their strength, kindness, or simply because they deserved a moment of joy.
So instead of big crowds, we sang to individuals, on the street or in their gardens, surrounded by neighbours or loved ones.
The sun shone, the songs drifted and our hearts were full. It was a day of connection, music and joy - one we’ll never forget.
